Oncology massage is for those with active cancer and/or a history of cancer.  This gentle and nurturing treatment takes into consideration things like location of the cancer, treatments undertaken (chemotherapy, radiation, etc.), and the effects these have on the overall health and functioning of the body.  Adjustments are made to position and technique on a case by case basis to support the body's needs, while taking care not to overwhelm it.  Research suggests that massage can relieve symptoms like pain, nausea, and fatigue, as well as improve sleep.  For many clients, massage helps them to reconnect with their body, and gives a feeling of wholeness at a time when it is needed most.

I am proud to partner with Roswell Park Cancer Institute to provide no cost chair massage or hand reflexology in the Infusion Clinic at the Scott Bieler Amherst Center. Patients and caregivers are welcome to enjoy a brief respite during their visit.
